Yes! Anyone can create a free Community Membership to explore local resources, events, businesses, and connect with their neighborhood.

Simply create an account, complete your profile, and begin exploring your local community. Members can request help, offer services, discover local events, support businesses, and participate in community initiatives.

Tap Your Neighbor is expanding city by city. As new communities are added, local resources, businesses, events, and neighborhood services become available for members.

Each paid membership offers additional benefits, priority support, and yearly helper incidents.

What are helper incidents?
Helper incidents allow eligible members to request assistance for common household or neighborhood tasks such as:

• Grocery pickup

• Yard cleanup

• Minor errands

• Transportation assistance

• General neighborhood help

Is there a waiting period?
Yes. Paid memberships require at least 90 consecutive days before annual helper incidents become available.

Can I transfer my helper incidents?
No. Membership benefits and helper incidents are non-transferable and are intended only for the active member.

Who can become a helper?
Anyone who meets our community standards and verification requirements may apply to become a helper.

Are helpers verified?
Yes. Tap Your Neighbor strives to create a trusted community. Helpers may undergo identity verification, background screening (where applicable), and agree to our Community Standards.

Can helpers set their own rates?
Yes. Helpers determine their own pricing unless participating in community volunteer or Pay It Forward initiatives.

Can I volunteer instead of charging?
Absolutely. Many members choose to volunteer their time to help strengthen their communities.

Our "Help Me. I Help You." program encourages neighbors to exchange services and skills without always using money.

Payments for memberships, advertising, and platform services are securely processed through our approved payment providers.

Does Tap Your Neighbor guarantee services?
No. Tap Your Neighbor provides a platform that connects members. Individual service agreements remain between the member and the helper.
